Remember that show from the 90′s, Third Rock From the Sun? Yea, the little boy who looked like a little girl grew up to be a mighty fine man. Joseph Gordon-Levitt has grown into a full fledged hipster dream man. This is for all you men who like skinny boys with style.
There’s no denying JGL’s adorable factor and boy has got some talent! He sings, he dances and he acts. He has that James Dean kind of appeal. If you’re on the fence about this one check out the video after the gallery of him and his friend Zooey Deschanel and you’ll be turned!
If you live in Wilton Manors or Gay Fort Lauderdale you are in luck my friends because the parties are plentiful! This New Year’s is going to be H-O-T. Georgie’s Alibi is holding their 15th Annual New Year’s Weekend Celebration featuring the Armagedon Party and Sunday Bloody Sunday.
If you’re heading over to Bill’s Filling Station you can watch the ball drop at midnight on their GINORMOUS screen while sipping on $3 well and bloody Mary’s until 9 (and other specials).
Living Room will be crazy as per usual with their 2012 Weekend Kick Off party. These are only a few of the parties that will be kicking off 2012. Check the gallery for more flyers!
Well, the holidays came and the holidays went and now it’s time to welcome 2012! This year went by pretty damn fast. If you haven’t made your 2012 resolutions, it might be time to start thinking about them because the clock is ticking.
Some of the most popular resolutions are to lose weight, save more money, stay out of trouble and either stay single or find “the one.” What are your new year’s resolutions?
If you haven’t seen the video Sh*t Girls Say that is going completely viral, stop what you’re doing and watch this parody video that is SO much better than the original. This 2-minute video chronicles the sh*t gay guys say.
I’m sure all of you will appreciate this and if you live in Wilton Manors you’ll probably appreciate it even more. It’s like someone just stood outside of Starbucks 26th Street and observed!
If you’re just too big or *cough* too small, TheyFit now makes custom-fitted condoms! Well, don’t get too excited just yet. The custom condoms are only approved in Europe right now.
The US’s FDA has yet to approve these condoms which is kind of ironic seeing as how they try so hard to push safe sex.
Next time I travel to Europe I’ll be sure to check them out for ya’ll in Wilton Manors.
Two of my favorite things: Art and the outdoors. Welcome to South Florida’s art walks! The popularity of these artist meet and greets have really grown over the past few years. Gay Fort Lauderdale alone has three!
Art walks are when galleries and studios invite the public in for a quick peek, a chat and a chance to mingle with the artists themselves. Kind of a cool concept, right?! Several of these art walks, which are held in Hollywood, Delray, Wilton Manors and Pompano, are held on the third week of the month. Boynton Beach is even looking to get in on the art walk action in January.
For more information on these art walks click here!
Okay, this might be an unlikely hottie of the week but he’s a hottie nonetheless. He was just nominated for multiple Grammy awards and the year 2011 was VERY good to him. Bruno Mars has that old school, Temptations appeal. He’s got his own style and a unique sound and if you’ve ever seen him in concert, he’s got quite the hip thrust. Check out his gallery!
Hotspots Media Group is proud to present the Fourth Annual Holiday Celebration at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Fort Lauderdale on December 6! The event usually draws a crowd of over 500 people!
The event offers a great venue for local business owners and community leaders to get together and network and, above all, enjoy each other’s company. The celebration is by invitation only and 100 perent of the proceeds and Silent Auction funds raised go to Pride Center at Equality Park and Broward House.
If you have not received your invitation and would like to attend, feel free to call Scott Holland at 954-928-1862 or email him at Scott@hotspotsmagazine.com.
Wilton Manors officials really want their residents and visitors to work it out in their walking shoes! The city might start allowing homes near businesses and the entertainment district to house cafes, bookstores, salons and gift shops.
The entertainment district in question is called The Triangle. It is bordered by Wilton Drive, Northeast Sixth Avenue and Northeast 26th Street.
City planners looked at areas like P-town in Massachusetts and Key West when initially developing the proposal. The voting is scheduled to take place on December 13. It should be interesting to hear what existing business owners have to say about this, what parking plans will look like and what homeowners think of this idea.
