This weeks hottie of the week is Ryan Reynolds. This Vancouver, Canada import has truly took Hollywood by storm. From the Amityville Horror remake to X-Men Origins and the upcoming The Croods film. He will be someone to watch and entertain us for years to come.
Yes one of our favorites and biggest Diva’s turns the big 70…the one and only Barbara Streisand. With a career that started in the 1960′s and one of the few that has been able to act as good as she sings.
With box office hits like Funny Girl, The Prince of Tides and Yentl and sell out concerts she has done it all.
Nearly half a century later Barbra is still as big as she was then. We truly hope that Babs has a happy birthday as is around another 50 years to entertain us.
Wow, what a weekend in Los Angeles we had at the GLAAD awards. This was the first trip for us at Wilton Drive On Line and

Cher at GLAAD
hopefully it won’t be our last.
This years awards had laughs, tears and a wide range of stars to dazzle and entertain us. With Ellen DeGeneres as host and awards for Chaz Bono and The Hunger Games Josh Hutcherson for his Straight But Not Narrow anti bully campaign.
Now in its 23 year we hope that everyone at some point can make this very special event.
The Conservative Jewish seminary in Israel recently made waves when they voted to allow gays and lesbians to become rabbis. The highly significant decision
overcomes years of opposition made by many of its own leaders.
The Schechter Rabbinical Seminary announced that they will begin accepting homosexual rabbinical students in the coming fall. The dean said the seminary is committed to Jewish law and pluralism.
This weeks hottie is Seann William Scott. After coming to fame in 1999′s “American Pie’ he is now bringing back Steve Stifler in the fifth installment of the series titled, “American Reunion”. With his all American good looks and outgoing personality we are sure to see more of him in the future!
The International Gay Polo League has been breaking barriers and creating awareness at their International Gay Polo Tournaments for the last two years and this year the tradition will
live on.
The Tournament will take place on Saturday (April 14) at the Grand Champions Polo Club in Wellington.
“The Gay Polo league is happy that they have been able to make an impact in the community dealing with social issues and human rights,” said Carrie Wirth of Phelps Media Group (producers of the event).
Well just when you think the National Organization for Marriage does not have any more tricks up their sleeve think again. It
was a couple of weeks ago they started their “Dump Starbucks” campaign in the USA after Washington State past gay marriage and Starbucks support of marriage equality in their home state.
For the most part the Dump Starbucks campaign has back fired and really only made more US consumers even more loyal. But as Americans from the East coast to the West coast continue to patronize Starbucks-NOM has it’s target now globally. Yes they are now targeting countries around the world where Starbucks has locations. The worst of this is they are aggressively running anti-gay & anti-Starbucks ads in places where homosexuality is either a crime or heavily looked down upon (Egypt, Beijing, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Kuwait).
This is by far one of the most aggressive and hateful moves to date even for NOM’s standards. We encourage you to voice your opinion to not only in support to your local Starbucks but to their corporate headquarters in Seattle.
Now in it’s fourth year the Mr.Gay World contest arrives in Johannesburg, South Africa this week. It is quite a milestone for both
the event and the host city. With this contest and pageant it truly takes more than just good looks to participate.
During this competition there are personal interviews, the jury will focus on the individual who best: shows an interest in the world and the people around them, has a basic charm and sparkle, has poise as is secure with himself, without coming across as arrogant, can be a diplomat of goodwill to name a few.
This years contest has brought some of the finest young men from 25 countries around the world including the USA’s Kevin Scott Power. The event starts April 4th and ends with the winner being announced on April 10th. Please visit there website and show your support for this amazing event!
Hold on a minute…let me pick my mouth up off the floor. If you’ve watched the hit sitcom New Girl you’ve probably taken notice of character Schmidt (Max Greenfield) who likes to take his shirt off. How could you not? Max Greenfield is kind of adorable on and off of the set and has guest starred in some pretty serious sitcoms including Ugly Betty, Gilmore Girls and The O.C. If you’re not completely convinced take note of this: He had a Saturday Night Live themed Bar Mitzvah. Come on! That’s some adorable-ness!
Once again we have a new dining option (and bar) on the drive. The Wilton Bier Garden has arrived- could it be possible? Yes it is possible and boy do they really have a great location! If you happen to drive by the corner of Wilton Drive and N.E 6th you can’t miss it.
It puts it directly across of the grand daddy of the bars and places to eat in Wilton Manors, you guessed it The Alibi. With it’s large
open patio and busy, busy corner it will be interesting to see how this already hustling corner will do with the “Garden”. It has a menu of German inspired food and even bigger menu of beer so Oktoberfest year round sounds like fun to me.
With our party of two dining for lunch one of us ordered a Caesar salad and the other was the “Sparta Boy” chicken sandwich. When our food arrived it was fairly quick (it was 11:30am and not to busy yet) we both seemed pretty happy with our order. The service was good, friendly and helpful and the waiter made it a point to let us know of their fun nights to visit (Tuesdays are catching on and Sundays are a blast-I can testify to Sundays!).
Finally we left with a good enough impression-great patio and location, a German inspired menu and drinks and one more place to visit on the drive. Location 2245 Wilton Drive, Wilton Manors,FL 33305 Phone (954)530-8782
